“Making up new realities”
Creativity enables us to concoct and put into practice new ideas, thanks to perception, inspiration and the drive to innovate. We are surrounded by stimuli, which we absorb either conscious or unconsciously and which can bring about reactions and feelings susceptible of dwelling in our memory through sensitivity. Colours, shapes, sounds, which at times go unnoticed, but which can draw our attention in such a way that they activate our mind and awaken our feelings. People live off all that and we sometimes purposefully search those stimuli in order to strengthen creativity and give birth to the key element: inspiration or the outburst of an idea. When such an idea hits us, we should make the most of our enthusiasm so as to make it real and provide the rest of the people with novelties, thus contributing in our own humble way to humankind, its growth and progress. In order to ensure satisfaction and excellence it is vital that we should be selective, self-demanding and open to positive criticism, which are bound to complement our views on the creative process. This is a unique, personal procedure which allows loads of possibilities. One in which we can benefit from other ideas and creations as long as we do not plagiarise, but, rather, appreciate and acknowledge other people´s originality. Nevertheless, there will always be something to invent and plenty of opportunities for creation, which is a motivating circumstance that only goes to show that it is never too late: “where there´s a will, there´s a way”.
