I wanna know I gotta learn What is the truth? Where can it be? How can I know? I wanna know I gotta find out If it is clear The honesty I need to get You just gotta be your own self It´s so easy it will make you stand out This is what I think This is what I feel It is wonderful to find what is real Wanna believe There is a way There is no need To be convincing anyone Just for a thrill I wanna have The means to be Really sincere Not just a fake You just gotta be your own self It´s so easy it will make you stand out This is what I think This is what I feel It is wonderful to find what is real If you ask me you have all my trust My answer will be loud and clear My every word will mean a lot If you are honest we´ll rely on you I am all ears say what you will It takes an honest man to be sincere.
“Be for real”
Honesty entails truthfulness in our words, gestures and actions since thoughts, expression and feelings should go hand in hand.
Whatever we think or feel belongs to us. It makes us grow up and seek an agreement with ourselves in order to embrace our outlook on life. Asking for opinions and listening carefully is very important when it comes to drawing conclusions and reaching a personal viewpoint in which we can believe, thus gaining security when it´s time to express ourselves.
We are free to express it if we see fit to do so. As a matter of fact, it is more human to keep something to yourself rather than express it hypocritically, deceiving those who might be relying on our words or deeds. Lying can give rise to negative feelings for whom carries out the action if they have a conscience, as well as for those who find out the truth and feel disappointed. .
Expressions can be conveyed both through words and body language. That´s the reason why we can make use of them so that the information that reaches the recipient is faithful to the one we have stored. That way, misunderstandings and offences are avoided.
It is important to be brave and face and reflect reality such as it is, transparently, genuinely, showing ourselves just the way we are, no frills. But we also need to watch our language, gestures and actions when we are trying to be honest and act out of common sense, sympathy and respect. [/ezcol_1half_end]
