Responsibility is a value which revolves around action, taken after the commitment we take on with ourselves and others when we set our sights on the fulfilment of an aim or duty. Self-commitment is always present, for both if we want to achieve an objective either personal duty or whether it is another human being or a creature we have in mind, we are making a commitment with ourselves. This entails assuming our own decisions and the development of behaviours. Although we all have our own idea of what is and isn´t a duty, many are imposed by law, ethics and common sense. The main thing is that from the moment we assume the responsibility, said commitment becomes compulsory. Responsibility reaches way beyond human beings It touches all our surroundings: namely, nature, which we must look after and cherish since birth, since we are all part of it. It is a value which makes us careful, since we are aware of the pros and cons of every action and also reliable, since it provides us with the ability to persuade with facts (actions speak louder than words).
